Quoting Mary Stickles:" Quoting HappyAndPregnant:" I gave my daughter almond milk because she was the same way. We did the toddler ... [snip!] ... tiny amounts. He seemed to love the almond milk so far. I will buy the unsweetened vanilla tonight and find out if he takes it."

I wouldn't worry then. I've never tried the unsweetened almond milk or the vanilla. I get the sweetened enriched original almond dream. I do agree that almond milk is much healthier than cow's milk.

My son doesn't really care for milk... And if he drinks cows milk he doesn't sleep at all. So we do unsweetened vanilla. No sugar and I like it too. lol.

Hmmm... I give my son organic Soy... Is Almond milk better? The organic soy is getting harder and harder to find

Um. It depends on who you talk to about it. There's some controversy surrounding it. I find that soymilk tastes funky but I can eat soynut butter with no problem. Definitely buy organic when you are buying soy products.

That chart must be outdated. The almond milk I buy has 50% more calcium than dairy milk...But it could be that they just started adding more recently....

My point was mainly the difference between the fat and protein.

The almond milk that I buy has more calcium than milk. It says it on the front of the package, but I am a HUGE label reader.

I would give my kid cows milk if he would sleep just because I feel like the calories are higher and the fat, but there are more vitamins in the Almond milk and we all sleep. lol.

Hoping when my milk comes back that he'll just take that anyway.

Ok... So it's fortified now to add more calcium... But what other chemicals did they have to add to do that?

I understand... I get the organic kind so least amount of chemicals possible. But cow's milk hurts my son's stomach so he can't have it. Otherwise he'd be on cows milk now. I'm not arguing with you. I wish I could give him cows milk and have him poop and sleep normally. It just doesn't work.
