I want to try whatever I can to make my stretch marks fade some. Does tanning help do this? Does it make them worse??

Many people have told me that they fade when your skin gets darker. Idk if I'm going to actually tan though. Maybe just use the Jergens lotion tanning stuff and get spray tans. Hopefully it works the same lol.

Yea, mine did the same thing. I have been tanning, (not intentional, but KY weather has been in the upper 80s and 90s for the past 3 weeks). And yea, no difference with the stretch marks. What I am so confused about is, why don't my legs tan, they don't even burn?

I am a redhead, but I am also part Native American, so I am the rare breed that can tan. I guess I know which half is Native American, and which the other half is Irish. lol. I just look so funny, I'm so dark from waist up, and pale as a ghost bottom down. Think a tanning bed would help?

tannning in a tanning bed seems to help mine look less noticable.
Im sure tanning in general would help you feel, better...i mean doesnt everyone feel great when they have a little color on thier skin.

I have some light stretchmarks on my hips from puberty and when I tan at the beach or the tanning bed you can not see them. I think most imperfections look better tan, but that might be the FLORIDA GIRL in me talking. I have a friend who got really bad stretchmarks on her tummy and her boobies after her 2 babies and she tans a lot and you can't see her stretchies hardly either. I think it may depend on the person, but I personally think tanning makes all the imeperfections look a little better......cellulite, spider veins, etc.....

It depends on the person. For some people, the stretchmarks tan and are not as noticable. For others they don't tan, and therefore stick out like a sore thumb from the tanned skin. If you have any scars on your body, have you ever noticed if they tan with the rest of your skin, or stay white. If they stay white, your stretchmarks will do the same thing and they'll be bright white on your nice tan skin.

while your streach marks are fresh and still have a pink to them they will blend in a little better with the darker skin, but as they shrink and fade on thier own they will take a lighter more sliver or white color that stands out when you tan. Just decide how you feel about them, streach marks or not, i'm still wearing my bikini once i can fit into it again
