I would never let my daughter wear any of it except the onesie! I think it's kind of cute. I also don't let her wear short shorts, dresses,or skirts even at 2 :)

I bought DD a 2 piece similar to this, for potty training purposes.

Yes, besides the kiddo thong.

And what is the issue with the onesie? I don't get it.

I don't see the issue with the onsie. Those who say No, can you explain why? Maybe I am missing something LOL

My daughter has one like that too. It's a little surfer sort of one. I used it because i can easily change her. I am totally okay with those, because I see them as useful and practical. Two pieces are for a good reason. To change/potty train them. The little bikinis are not practical. Most of the time they get all shifted around and need to be fixed because toddler sjust don't have the curves and assets older women do (which are the entire point of them, to show off a woman in a sexual way).

I want more for my daughter than to aspire to be someone's bride.

I say no because it seems pointless. It's like "future baby maker." ANYONE can be a bride. It requires no work or skill. Anyone can have a baby. Being a good mother is different. Being a good wife is different. But just a bride?

I wouldn't want my little girl to think that's all she's good for. . . .

Hell no. The swim suits and the thongs.....over my dead body. When she is a teenager we will approach more revealing swimsuits, right now (she is 5) and until then it is tankinis or a 1 piece. The onesie is fine, I bought her quite a few "future" ones- heartbreaker, rock star, airman, and princess.
