So on Monday, 4/15 at around maybe 4pm I started having labor contractions. I'd been having them on and off since Saturday, but by late afternoon they'd been coming consistently and didn't feel like BH. I'd been walking all day and by about 6:30 pm I was in enough discomfort that I wanted to be home and in the shower, lmao. My 5 year old was already going to spend the night at her paternal grandma's, so that worked out well. I went home, packed the hospital bag, started to sort through my clothes because I decided the way I had them organized wasn't what I really wanted LOL. Around 11pm I was bored out of my SKULL at home alone and the dad was "too tired" to come labor with me () so I called my mom and went to her house. Hung around online, showered again when I started to get uncomfortable. Then around 3 am the contractions were getting pretty close and painful so we went to the hospital. Gwen's dad met us there. Got checked in and settled, they monitored me for about an hour and then checked me. I was only 1 fucking cm. So I got up to walk (while her dad slept. Fuckhead. I'd been up for about 20hrs straight at this point, mind you.) After an hour of walking I'd progressed to 2cm but my contractions were unchanged, so they sent me home at 6am. I climbed into my mom's bed and within an hour my contractions were unbearable. But I put off going back because I didn't think enough time had passed for me to progress much, and my contraction patterns were weird. I'd have 3 or 4 crest right on top of each other, and then I'd go 10 minutes without one. A little after 8 I couldn't bear it anymore so we headed back in after my mom took my sister to school. Got to the hospital at 8:30 and barely made it in the door because my contractions were right on top of each other and I couldn't walk. Got wheeled up to L&D and immediately put in the room. The nurses help me strip and throw on a gown. While they were doing my vitals they were trying to get me admitted so I was signing papers in between contractions cresting... it was a mess. They checked me.... 8cm  No time for an epidural. Time gets kind of hazy around now because my contractions were STRONG but I *think* about 10 minutes after getting into the room I screamed that I had to push even though they kept telling me no because I wasn't fully dilated. But I couldn't stop my body and bore down and my water broke. I told them I HAD to push again and my doctor rushed to check me and felt her head and told me to go ahead while tying on a mask. So I yanked my legs up and pushed. Took I think 6 tries to get her out. It was NOT fun, but honestly not as awful as I'd have thought a natural birth would be. Delivering the placenta hurt WAAAAAY worse, then labor pains, then actually pushing her out. WTG endorphins and adrenaline.
I called Gwen's dad right after I had her and told him she'd been born and he said "that's nice. I guess." dickbag. His sister just BARELY missed being there, she was right outside the door when she heard my last scream and Gwen's first cries. Her dad came up the first day in the afternoon but didn't even look at her, he just signed the papers for the genetic testing and took off. He still hasn't seen her. Texted me last Saturday asking to come over on Sunday and I said ok but never heard from him.
Anyway. Now the fun part that I know you really came in for. Pictures! Unfortunately my mom filled up her memory card and just saved the pictures to a folder before deleting them, and her computer crashed  my uncle is going to see if he can save any of them, but for now I lost all of my birth and the first few hours worth of her life
But anyway, cellphone pics we do have!

I want to know what makes doctors or whoever think they are so smart to know that a baby only smiles when they fart. Ridiculous.
Her dad sucks! But she is beautiful! Her big sister looks so proud. Congratulations! You have a beautiful family.
