Can anyone give me some more info!?

I went to the ER last night for some pain I had been feeling, which turned out to be a UTI, but since I had been bleeding, they wanted to do an ultrasound. The ER doc never mentioned it until I said something about the previous bleeding before I left. Even then, all he told me was they'd monitor it at the OB.
I'm not a fan of Googling things because usually I get the shit scared out of me.

If its just low and not previa it'll most likely move.

I have a low lying placenta. My ob said I'll have an ultrasound at every appointment to make sure it's not previa. I have no idea what it means either

Had it with the last two pregnancies. Bled during pregnancy, it corrected itself both times and I was able to deliver vaginally. Basically if it doesn't move with the growth of your uterus, you'll have to have a C-section but if it does you may just have a little more bleeding during/after labor.

Depends on the Doc. I had this with my daughter and I was not allowed to have sex. Did regular ultra sounds to see if it moved. Luckily it did so I was able to do a Vag delivery. If it never moves you will need a c-section since it can tear in the deliver process causing hemorrhage

I haven't gotten ahold of my OB, I'm sure the ER has by now, but he (the OB) doesn't seem too concerned about anything when he gets results in. I'm already having a scheduled C, so that part I'm not too concerned about. I have another ultrasound next Thursday and then again between 30 and 32 weeks.

Mine was less than 1cm away from my cervix at my anatomy scan. Low Lying means very close to your cervix and a previa (partial or full) is when the placenta covers your cervix. If it is too close to your cervix come time to deliver, it can be dangerous so they just watch it. If it's low it will likely move up before delivery. I have another ultrasound at 28 weeks to check to see where mine's at. :)

Good luck!

That's what the dr told me at my ultrasound also. He said its low, not previa, (previa means its actually on the cervix), so he's monitoring it. I'm already planning on a C-section since I've already had 2 C-sections. He said that if it does turn into placenta previa, that I will have to deliver at 36 weeks. But since I haven't had any bleeding, I have no actual restrictions other than taking it easy. I have another ultrasound in 2 weeks, so we will see if it has improved then.

Lol! Jealous of no restrictions! I'm on pelvic rest. :( But I spotted my whole first trimester and part of my second.

Preaching to the choir haha!!! Been there done that :P make sure they check you for vasa previa too. Even after the placenta moves up (actually theyd see it better with the placenta out of the way). I didn't realize your placenta was that close to the cervix.

Lol. Yep. Smack dab in the middle in the back... It was super nice to know where my spotting came from.
