Quoting Lil Pumpkin in the Oven!:" I can completely understand keeping baby in as long as possible but if your baby is iugr and not growing properly it is best to get baby out sooner so they can determine and help baby grow right"

This is what they were thinking at first and it wasn't comunicated with me, only that at 34 weeks 4pounds was too small.
I had to see it on the screen to find out they suspected it.
At 38 weeks she gainied and was 5 pounds 11 oz, so i was told she was still a little bit on the small side but perfect and doing everything they wanted to see and she said t she'd allow e to go til 39 weeks because they didn't want me going to 38 at first.
Yesterday, she wasn't measured, and i'm told that diff parts of her body aren't mearuing right, i had been told for the loingest she was perfect only small, then i was told thier thinking plancenta problems and yesterday the different measurements.
And said it could because my thyroid medication but told y mom and bf that if we didn't get her out, she can be stillborn.

Well atleast theygave you almost all the way to your due date. If your baby has iugr then it must be a medical reason they are inducing you. Dont worry though I was induced and it was a fine experiance. I was already dialated to a 2 when I was induced and everything went smooth. You and baby will be ok. It sounds like its the experiance for you wanting to do things naturally but IF the baby really has iugr thats a legit reason for the doctors to induce. But wanting to keep your baby in till as close to the due date as possible is not selfish and is smart to try and let your body go in naturally but If your baby is having issues no doctor would let you go passed your due date.

No idea, i've heard so many things from these doctors i'm confused myself.
Really it was only the one who acted like there was a huge problem, and the rest didn't.
I had a lady read my ultrasounds and both times she told me she was a perfect healthy baby she was only a tad bit small.
She said it'd be fine to carry to 39 weeks and i don't see the big differnce another week would make.

Do they leave the pitocin on the whole time?
Will all my contractions be unnatural?
I want to feel the real natural ones...
I plan on going epi free either way, but i really wanted things done natural and on my own.

The ultrasound doctor i saw yesterday also encouraged me to induce because i was dilated already.
She said it's showing my body wants to go into labor so nothings wrong with speeding it up/

With me they started the pitocin on the lowest setting and then bumped it up slowly and once I started to really pick up they slowly turned it down untill it was off....Thats hoiw my Dr. did it but idk if everyone does it that way I think it depends on how you progress.

I guess i'll ask, i'll be super disapointed if i can't feel real ones, i feel like my fam members are trying to pressure me into epidural too, god i can't do My birth the way i want to at all!
I told them because i want support, not for you to sit there and tell me how much pain i'm gonna be in and i should get it becasue i have the chance too.

They care about you and don't want you to be in pain.
It seems like you're putting your child's life at risk just to prove a point to people who seem to love and care about you.

Yeah my water actually broke on its own... they put thethinner in and then broke on its own and they said since that happened then I was pretty close to going in on my own and they at first didnt even put me on pitocin right away cause they wanted to see if i would progress by myself but when i didnt atall they did what i said earlier with the pitocin... my whole intire labor was 11 hours which is pretty short. I pushed for about 15 minutes. It was really easy peasy! :)

She was the doctor reading the results.
She communicated with the doctors and said it would be safe to allow me to 40 weeks even.
I don't know, it's like a new thing every time i got to see them.
Last week it was even though she's only a little tiny, she's healthy and doing everything they want to see, maybe her genetics cause her to be small, then i went to see the OB who was saying they were concerned with possible placenta problems cause she is small.
Now, i'm told yesterday her head is 4 weeks behind?
I was never told anything other then she was a little small, and the most i was ever told was that she was 2 weeks behind.
Why were they telling me she was perfect except for being a bit small?

I'm not risking my childs life!
They were simply not giving me valid reasons why they wanted to take her, and before 38 weeks.
I was basically being told something new everyweek about how she was improving and when i would turn induction down because of it, a new reason would pop up, it was getting pretty hard to believe them because of not communicationg these "problems" with me until later.
I was being told she was perfectly healthy, she was only a tad bit small, that if she wasn't doing great, they wouldn't want to take her.
As for the epidural, they can tell me what it' going to be like, but do not try and force it down my throat because i say i want to Attempt a natural birth, where i feel the contractions are apart of the experience.
Also what if it fails? i won't feel pain then?

Quoting 6 blessings so far....:" another week can make a fatal differance if there is placenta problems......."

I was always told the placenta looked good.(Weekly ultrasounds)
She said the reason she most likely is small, is because of the medicine i need to take from my thyroid.
She said she didn't think i had placenta problems, but it was possible.
but since my medicine had been adjusted many times, she really thinks its that.
