I don't know if my DS is super tall or haven't fully dropped yet but i feel his legs(I'm guessing) in my ribs.. When i had gone to the hospital they said i was 50% effaced and the doctor could feel his head.. Friday i have doctors appointment so i'm guessing they are going to do an internal.. (ugh i hate them so much, they hurt so badly for me) however i do feel my DS's head in my pelvis.. Oh the joy of being pregnant!

You can deny internal checks. They do more harm than good anyway.

Ya know, I never knew that... I thought the drs have to do them to check the effacement and dilation.

Nope, you can definitely refuse. Especially since knowing how far dilated/effaced you are has no effect on anything anyway.

Internal exams are pointless. Your dilation and effacement have no correlation as to when you'll go into labor, thus, checking is a waste of time.

Well, that's awesome to know. So i can refuse an internal, and it sure sounds like a waste of time..
