So I got a really good curling iron a few days ago, I tried it..and my hair didn't curl..AT ALL.
The heat goes all the way up to 450.
My hair wasn't straightened, it was wavy.
Would it be easier to do if it was straightened?
Do you have any tips with a curling iron?
I need just as much help haha I can never get curls
My hair styles best when its dirty. 2-3 days after my last shampoo.
I even got the same exact curling iron my stylist used...and NOTHING. She washed it twice after dying it.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong!
did you put hairspray on it before curling?
take a string of hair, put hair spray in it, then use curling iron.
Maybe your hair was to "clean"?
It works best if your hair naturally dries before curling it, and you need to put hair spray in it before curling. The bigger the chunk of hair, the harder it will be to curl.
Sounds like you may be trying to curl too much hair at one time. Break apart the chunks of hair. It'll take longer but it'll curl.
How long should you keep it rolled up?
Quoting Arks Mama! ಠ_ಠ:" How long should you keep it rolled up? "
Depends on the amount of hair you have curled up on the iron. For me, I'll leave it for 10 mississippis (lol) and I'll feel it getting hot and that is my indicator to take my hair of the curling iron.. The whole process is trial and error. After some time, I eventually figured out what worked for me.
