Why is the 15 year old girl facing the charges and the teacher isn't? :?

I would back hand my child if they acted like that. That'd be going easy on them. My father would hit my brother or I with the belt.
Teachers deserve more respect than that.

I agree, but the teacher shouldn't have touched the child. I'd be fuming.

I would beat the shit outta my daughter if she acted like that. She wants to act all bad ass in front of her friends and cuss and get in the teachers face then she deserves what she got.

That too but from the video it looked like self defense. The teenager was very hostile.

I would've wanted to deal with my child, myself. Yeah, she shouldn't have been acting like that but I don't think anyone deserves getting beat. Also, I'm not sure if it says but the kid is in the blue. I thought it was the other way around.

That's what I saw too. The teenager was talking trash and got in the teachers face but the teacher pushed her.

oh hitting her to tell her violence is wrong, oh yeah thats real effective

even if the girl was saying bad things that did not give the teacher the right to push her like she did

I just watched it again... it appears that the student put her hand on the teacher's arm, but the teacher definitely started the shoving match.

What a mess.

And why are cell phones allowed in classrooms anyway? :?

I would too..but I my daughter wouldn't act like this to begin with. I don't think teachers get enough respect for what they do and have to put up with it's really sad.

This is what it looks like to me too, that the student was defending herself, she may have been saying some bitchy things to the teacher, but the teacher should be the adult here
