I heard they can at 9 months but my 10 month old sure doesn't. Or he just ignores me lol.

My son understood by 12 months
He's 27 months old now and when I tell him no he points at me and says "ah no!"

My son is 11 months and he will stop when we say no bit he try's again later. He's getting it tho.

When my 7 month old is getting into something i tell him no and he stops what hes doing he probably doesnt understand me but i think its funny.

Sometimes DS acts like he understands (he's 9 months) but for the most part he ignores me. Haha!

Haha! That sounds about right. Even when he gets old enough to understand I'm sure he'll just ignore me anyway.

my 8 month old does. When we tell him no he stops looks at us and starts throwing a fit lol its so hard not to laugh at him lol

i was reading something they other day that said 10 month old's will listen more to the tone of your voice than the words you say but they are all so at a age where they try to see how far they can push you so might do it any way. the advice was to still say no but then keep moving them away from what they doing and distrtact with a toy or something. my boy will look at me to see if im watching before doing things, still does them tho but i thing he;s starting to learn and hes 10 months
