My son started trying to steal food just before 5 months. He only got solids a few times a week before 6 months. He got full meals starting at 6 months though because he had the medical need. We'd intended on delaying a while. But couldn't for his own well being.

My baby is 5 months, he grabbed at my SO's plate, but I think it was more that he likes to grab everything now. :P

Yeah I can dig that.

Just with my baby, he is a big kid and he doesnt need it yet, even though others think he does. I keep being told to give him some and that he needs it because he is a big kid >.< The doctor agrees with me about him not gettting it until 6 months though.

That's it haha. Of course they're curious. But being curious doesn't make their I side miraculously fully develop. They're two diff forms of development. Ones cognitive development, ones physical development. You can always make formula pops if he's interested in stuff.

How would I go about doing that?

I've noticed the last week he has been losing focus on his bottle/losing appitete and not eating as much other then bed time and when he wakes up, so that might help him, plus I'm pretty sure he is teething.

Awe maybe some baby gates are in order. I'm worried for when he starts to crawl he was a wiggle worm in the womb and he never stopped. People actually have trouble holding him because of it.

That's about what she was at 5 mos too I think. I'd have to get the baby book out to check for sure.

Either my milk dropped in calories (which I find unlikely) or his metabolism kicked into hyper drive. I think it's the last because his dad has a REALLY high metabolism and I have a fairly high one. I can eat a ton of crap and stay at a relatively steady weight, in about a 20lb range or so.

At 6 months DS grabbed an apple I was eating out of my hands and gummed it. He could sit up and all that so we started solids. He was ready. If I would have tried and he wasn't ready, I would have waited.
