Im really clueless about it. But i was thinking about buying my 18 month old a potty just to introduce the idea. Is it still to early? I wanna get that potty that you just put on the toilet, so i dont have to clean :D or should i start off with the small one on the floor?

That's about the time I started with my daughter, just to get her used to the idea. I bought a potty chair that doubles as a step stool. If I bought one of those toilet top ones, she wouldn't have been able to get onto the toilet on her own if she needed to go. She's 3.5 now and can barely get onto the toilet by herself. I'd buy one that's at toddler level.

Be careful, I posted this a topic about starting to potty train my 19 month old and had one woman act high & mighty like I was abusing her. Said she's "never heard of anyone potty training an 18 month old". She obviously doesn't get out much.

ANYWAYS. We just bought Zoey a little toilet seat that goes over top the big one. She loves it. Day 3 and she's gone about 12 times in her potty. :) Good luck and don't push anything. They'll let you know if they're ready!

That's true I didn't even think about it. Our toilet is super low to the ground so it hasn't been an issue but a normal height one would be.

Right!? Thank god we have two bathrooms. Even though the normal size one is on the basement level. So it's a bit of a lose/lose, lol.
