Quoting Shannee:" Ok ladies she checked for the gender last min the whole time it was to check if baby was alright. They ... [snip!] ... of people are going to turn it into something completely blown out of proportion and not even focus on the question I asked."

I don't think this was directed at me? I wasn't saying you weren't concerned with the baby being alive. I was trying to clear up the fact that maybe it was possible that they didn't immediately take you over bc of the fact that they heard placental blood flow and thought it could wait till today. I know what you mean though....I don't post topics very often on here bc ppl tend to be jerks at times and it just causes needless drama. If I thought that you weren't concerned about your child, I would have probably been the first one to say something....just not as blunt. I understood you were just asking the question about the baby's sex and not being able to tell yet. Meh....just forget about the drama and how others perceive something. Otherwise you will spend all your time arguing over something that you don't have to really explain to any of us. We don't know you at all and don't know what you are thinking or feeling IRL. Good luck to you in whatever gender you get. As long as it's healthy :)

That's interesting....I've always been told the sexes of my kids by the US tech here. The dr only comes in when there's something wrong and to read the results at the end.

No it wasn't directed to you at all! Thanks so much for understanding you cleared it up even more for me. It's sad that people have to be like that, it just blows my mind. I feel like I'm on a episode of desperate housewives of baby gaga! Ugh! Haha!

Lol....yeah. Well I used to get really uptight and get into these long arguments with ppl online. I finally just realized it wasn't worth it and they weren't worth me getting so angry over. They don't know me, I don't know them. Whatever. So now I just comment in forums and pretty much scroll over the rude comments. They can argue all they want....I'm not gonna waste my time or get upset over someone on BG.8)

I agree I've been in this position a few times and I just ignore it but as soon as someone questions my parenting and how I feel about my unborn child's health and safety then I feel as thought I should defend myself...but I'm just gonna let it go now :)

Oh I understand completely. :) That's why I say one comment and then just say I'm done argueing bc I have nothing to prove to anyone and move on. People who feel the need to spend hours attacking someone they don't even know must just love the drama. But I have better things to do with my time personally.

U/S tech CAN tell the gender of the baby. Mine did with all 4 of my kids!
