Besides a few good friends we have not told any one even family that we are pregnant! When is a good time like how many weeks?

I was planning to wait until after my first ultrasound (which was at 12 weeks), but since my sister told everyone she was pregnant at thanksgiving I couldn't resist throwing mine in too just to see the look on my mom's face. :D That was at about 5 or 6 weeks. I told with DD at 5 weeks as well.

Depends if you are the type who would want support in the case of a miscarriage or would rather people not know, mostly. Lots of people tell right away and others wait until 13 weeks or so.

With both of my pregnancies, I told everyone the day after I found out.

Well our family's don't want us having another baby right now. Because we already have two kids a 16 month old and a six year old. We don't want them freaking out!

Not much they can do about it. ;) If that was the case, though, I would probably wait a little longer to tell them.

when i got pregnant with DD, i told the day i found out. it was one of those "i'd rather they hear it from me because it was not good timing...now DH has a job if we got pregnant, i'd only tell MIL till so far along and only because we live with her.

not that i have a reason to fear a miscarriage, i never thought about it till i joined BG (opened my eyes to so many things- i was 18 wks) but now, i plan with any future kids, wait till further along.

That's how I was with DD. The thought never crossed my mind. When I got pregnant this time I was kinda like  and was thinking the most horrible things. Thankfully, so far, so good! :D

I believe a lot of people say you should wait till 12 weeks at least. But I just couldn't, I was do excited! I was nearly 7 weeks when I found out and told a few close family members and friends. Of course my family still told everyone so the news was out the next day, I got so many congrats texts lol. In work I just told the managers as they are meant to do a risk assessment right away and the 5 women in my section but it didnt stay secret there long either! There were things I suddenly wasnt allowed to do so the operations lads had to be told why by their line manager. I also had severe sickness and the stomach bug excuse only lasted for a week. I work with mainly women (we outnumber the guys 50-20 or something lol) so most of them got suspicious straight away. As soon as one said: you're pregnant aren't you? The rest all shouted: we KNEW it!!! :D one of the women I work closely with was pregnant the same time, about 3 weeks behind me but she managed to keep it quiet, she eventually told us all at 21 weeks. She didnt have any sickness and her youngest was only 8-9 months at the time so nobody questioned the tiny bump she had.

I told my family and close friends when I found out! I had no idea how far along I was when I found out this time, I was like 3 weeks!!! lol. With D1S I told family and close friends right away and I waited until 13 weeks with DS1 I told everyone at 9 weeks with this DS2.

I usually tell people I'm close with after my first ultrasound 6-8 weeks and then everyone else after 12 weeks.

With DD we told right away but with this baby we only told our parents right away and then my sister suffered a miscarriage about a month and a half ago so we waited until we saw the dr and heard the heartbeat before we told everyone else, which was Monday, so 12 weeks.

My first is a little complicated, I dont feel like getting into it entirely but everyone found out after the birth. I found at 3 weeks with my daughter (2nd) and we waited a month before we told everyone, so 7ish weeks. With this one we found out at 6 weeks and we told everyone around 8 weeks.
I am the type who would want support in the event of a miscarriage so I don't mind telling everyone early on. And it's always so exciting I have a really hard time keeping in anyway. Lol

I want to tell people now but my husband said we should wait because we don't need the extra stress of both our family's yelling at us!
