My kids don't watch TV often and if they do its usually movies in the kids section on Netflix. DS7 has been watching The Regular Show lately and I haven't sat down to watch it with him. He's picked up some horrible language in the last week and a horrible attitude to go with it. He's "pissed" at his brother. His sister is stupid, he called his dad a jerk lastnight, and anytime someone tries to show him something he'll say "who gives?".

Needless to say he's grounded right now...and will not be watching any TV. He's on a new medication (but has been on it for a few months, way before this new attitude appeared) that could possibly make him irritable but I still don't know where he would have come up with this stuff except for this new show. Basically I'm trying to decipher if this is the meds that are doing this or if he picked this stuff up from this show? Those of you who have watched it, what did you think?

DH and I watch it at times, and it could be from the show. I know I've heard the word "pissed" on it once or twice and the rest of it seems to fit.

I know the show has a PG rating so I wouldn't be surprised.

DD isn't allowed to watch anything from the cartoon network. Shoot Nickleodon is about the be crossed off my list for their dumb studio thing they do in the afternoons.

Definitely picking up the language from that show. Adventure time is better, they don't say stupid really except occasionally "nah that's dumb" etc. but not about people and not often. Two episodes from the first season have "sexy" though so maybe avoid those episodes? The Tree Trunks episodes where the elephant says "I'm the sexiest adventurer there is!" because she's old and delirious and the Marcelene episode where in the song he sings "he should have stayed and fought that sexy vampire lady"

Overall though it's a better show, not educational, but fun. Sometimes they even cover meaningful things like jealousy haha. I'd just preview the episode beforehand if you're worried

Yea very possible. I like the show, but it really isn't for younger children IMO. I would say at least 12+. They generally play it later at night around 7:30 in my time zone. They have a looooot of adult humor.

My almost 10 year old and I watch it together quite often. It's one of her favorites shows. That and Adventure Time.

I agree. Adventure time is a little cleaner. But again I would say for older kids. Regular show is like the Ren & Stimpy of this group of childrens.

Meh. I think even Ren & Stimpy was more tasteful. I just don't like Regular show lol it's rarely funny

Gah...its on right when he gets off the bus here. Feel like an idiot, should have watched it with him but he usually doesn't watch TV at all so when he was I wasn't worried about it.
