Quoting S*its & giggles:" you aren't whining or bitching or anything. Whether it's 6 days or months, being away from the one you ... [snip!] ... for a few months and he stopped talking again! he is finally starting to talk. =( poor guy. It really does affect them a lot."

yeah I know it affects them. My kids know that Daddy is leaving tomorrow on an airplane and he will be back in 6 days. My 10 year old is okay with it and so is my 4 year old ( I don't think she fully understands) but my 5 year old started crying. She is a Daddy's Girl 100%. She doesn't want him to go. It makes me sad for her. They have never been away from him at all except when he is at work. i am trying to come up with some activities that we can do while he is gone to pass the time. My older two only have 1 week of school left. Their last day is the 24th and that is also the day my DH gets back.

Welcome to the thread :)

I have been a member of the site since 2008. I was pretty active for awhile but I got tired of dealing with some people's shit and i just ended up lurking for awhile. I am back to active status now that some of the worst b***hes are gone.
All of us in the thread understand the disconnecting. I have not had a friend IRL for at least 15 years. The only people in my life are my DH, my kids, my parents and some of the few people I associate with on here.

This is a safe haven for us loners and for those of us not wanting to deal with too much of the drama or cliques on here. lol.

Thanks :)

He just left about an hour ago. His planes leaves out shortly. The kids and I all got up this morning to say goodbye to him. It was a little emotional but we are all doing okay now. Hopefully this week goes by fast. I think it should considering this is my older two kids last week of school. There will be a lot of little parties and activities for them. It should keep their minds occupied. Their last day of school is friday and my DH comes home friday night.
I think it was harder on me to watch him leave then it was on the kids, lol. I am such a big baby.

Awe that's sweet :)! I guess I'm an odd ball lol! I used to travel alot for work and enjoyed it for the most part lol. Not because I didn't miss dh and the kids but this is going to sound cruel... But because I liked to laugh when he complained about them driving him crazy an how he had to clean up the same mess 100000x that afternoon, or no one was listening, someone was jumping on the furniture,DD2 balled up crackers on the couch, etc. :). He always acted so nonchalant when I had a stressed out day with them like I was overreacting. So when we talked and he'd b***h about his day I'd do the same and say seriously no way you know how you like to exaggerate. He'd get mad and say he'd have to go and I'd laugh after we had hung up lmao! Then I'd call back 20 minutes later and be understanding lol.

I sat down the second I walked in the door and didn't wanna stand back up to go to bed lol.... There is this guy I work with and OMG if I weren't married lol. This guys frickin gorgeous and such a flirt ughhhhh lol. I thought he was like 26 ish found out yesterday he's 19 o.O so yea lol. But hey nothing wrong with looking right? He's about to leave for boot camp so we talk military a lot and I'm kinda glad he's leaving I feel so guilty it's the first time since I met dh where I've been in the "if I weren't married situation" and I'd never act on it but I still feel awful about it.

No, there is nothing wrong with looking. My DH knows if Channing Tatum, Tom Brady, or Leonardo Dicaprio were to ever be walking the streets here in Mesa, I would be all over it, lol. On the other hand, flirting is something else entirely and if i was flirting with other men my DH would be pissed. As long as you keep it at just looking you are good, lol.
I don't have those "If I wasn't married" moments unless it is celebrities. There are really not any men around here that are that good looking to make me think that, lol.
