The reason there are limits is because after that the tests showed the seat failed safety requirements. Be it that the straps no longer hold during an accident or something along those lines. The safety of the seat is only "guaranteed" under the limits.

Your 4mo is 20+lbs? oh my goodness haha my cosco one RF to 40lbs if it helps any lol once they're active they generally lose weight though so I wouldn't worry too much, just look for one with a higher RF limit if you wanna do ERF

My philosophy is spend a little more now and not have to get a new seat later. If you get a cheap seat you'll have to get a new one eventually, and probably end up spending more. Plus your child's safety should be most important. Do you have seats like the graco my size 70 or the safety first complete air? theyre good seats at reasonable prices.

Um lol, I'm not going to buy a "cheap" carseat, do you really think $250 is cheap? I sure as hell don't.

And no, this is the one I'm getting because I've heard good things about evenflo.

I didn't know what seat u were looking at :? I was just saying in general not being rude or anything. Idk much about that Evenflo seat. You said $ was tight so I was just giving two reasonable options that I do know are good seats.
