So I have not been here in a few years now. I am out of touch but I need the ever so soothing comforts of you knowledgeable women more than ever!
Okay so here it is. My husband got a vasectomy after out daughter was born 3 years ago. I got off birth control and stopped keeping track of m periods and everything. Well We are separated and in the middle of a divorce...
I have had sex all times the person and I used condoms but I am sure you women know that is not fail proof!
Here are my dates
03/02/13- Period Start
03/07/13- Period End
03/28/13- Period Start
04/03/13- Period End
My period should have started on the 04/22/813 at this rate but no. I also got on the pill for the first time in three years on 04/24/13, so I am not sure if this is playing a factor or not. I got scared and took an HCG pregnancy test this morning first pee of the day and it was negative but it took forever for the results to come up. Also I am low on money and it was only one of those $1 tests from freaking dollar general........ No cramps, no spotting....
What do you ladies think.... Should I calm down or go buy out the pregnancy test rack?
Also when they put me on my birth control they never did a pregnancy test....
I would wait. It could be the BC changing your period dates. Maybe stretching the time between them further.
Quoting DR♥P:" I would wait. It could be the BC changing your period dates. Maybe stretching the time between them further. "
I am trying to wait it out but it just has me so freaked I cannot sleep at night right now. My life is in shambles ad I do not need this right now. I realized afterwords that my period was already late by the time I started taking the birth control.
Thanks for the response!
If you just started taking BC two days ago, that is likely the reason you haven't had your period. My doctor always had me start my pill the Sunday after the last day of my period, I've never heard of starting it in the middle of the month, before you even get your period. BC acts by tricking your body into thinking you're pregnant, thus preventing the release of an egg or a period. You can even skip periods by taking your pills back to back, and not taking the placebo's. I wouldn't worry about it honestly, BC can really affect when you get your period, and although you may have some spotting this month, you probably wont get a period until you're through with your BC Pills for this month.
