I am a bit worried today though. She had an explosion that got into her belly button. I cleaned it the best I could with rubbing alcohol and I hope it doesn't get infected.

It probably won't hurt it, but the poop won't infect it. If she is breastfed, she doesn't even have bacterial colonies in her intestinal track yet so she is ok.:) Cute pic btw! :)

Thanks but its from when my oldest was born. I don't have any pics posted of my youngest because photobucket won't let me post any photos to baby gaga.

Carter's fell off super early- I think 3-4 days old. It then kept bleeding so the doctor had to put this certain stuff on it (can't think of the name) twice...ugh!

Even when it's cold in FL its still super humid. Even worse if you live closer to the coast. The hospital told us to leave it alone and when it had been 20 days and it still hadn't fallen off and then it started bleeding the pediatrician started having us clean it with alcohol to help it dry out. 3 days later it fell off.

My daughter will be 4 weeks tomorrow and I see a belly button under it but its still connected. It's getting very fusterating for me.

It's close it will come off soon. It took DD almost that long to lose hers leave her in a diaper it needs to air out. The pediatrician told us to stop dressing her and put alcohol on it to get it to fall off. We left her nekkid for a few days and it fell off. The ped said that the clothes doesn't allow it to breathe and it stays attached longer.
