Do I need to call? s00nt0be04 4 kids; Louisville, Kentucky 543 posts

OK, so I just peed not even 10 mins ago and snotty whitish tissue was in the toilet (mucous plug or cervix thinning?) I am not sure, out of 3 previous pregnancies I only lost my mucous once and that was 6 years ago and somewhat bloody.

But since I have been awake I have had horrible vaginal pressure. I am not thinking too much into that since I've been told pressure in the vaginal area is worse further along and more intense with each pregnancy.

Baby is still moving okay. Haven't felt much contraction, but lower back has been killer all day (nothing I can really time).

I am also trying to avoid going to L&D since my scheduled c section is just literally a couple days away. Not to mention every time I go I am just disappointed that I am not having LO or that the nurses can't tell how dilated I am either. (Back story of that: I had false labor with contractions that weren't strong enough nurse guessed a 2 CM...couple of weeks later had to go in because LO wasn't moving like he was suppose to and nurse said 3 CM then when I as checked before I left and another nurse said maybe a 2).

Is what was in the toilet worth calling my doctor for when all the pain I am feeling is only pressure from little one?

I wouldn't, but that's just me. I waited til the contractions were regular. I had cramping for hours and hours before they were timeable contractions and then I waited 8 more hours before going to the hospital :P Good luck!

I always follow the when in doubt there is nothing wrong with calling I never had pain in my stomach for contractions mine was all back labor and since you are only 3 days away you could go at any time or you could be late never know but I would atleast call and see what they say or try sitting on a yoga ball if you have one or soaking in the tub of warm water to relieve your back and see if that helps

Good, I really didn't want to.

Thanks!

Doesn't hurt to call if you are worried. I don't think it is anything to worry about just yet but calling could ease your mind. That is what they are there for. They should be more than willing to answer any questions!

Every time I call if I mention pressure or cramping they want me to get seen and I hate having the nurses inside of my vagina making me cramp worse because they don't know how to tell dilation.

Hm, odd. All of my nurses were wonderful. Maybe wait it out until morning and call your OB?

If I am still feeling achy I think I may. As for now trying to stay off my feet and keep from peeing so much seems like within the past 2 days I am peeing every 20 mins.

I wouldn't even worry about it. That's just me. Sounds completely normal.
