Yes I had a bad reaction to the spinal. I felt like someone was sitting on my chest and blacked out from the subsequent panic attack.
You can ask your OB and sine a form saying you understand the risks I think. I didn't ask my OB, I told him. I couldn't go through that reaction again.

Same OB. but I think a nurse put in the catheter? I can't remember because I blacked out during my surgery and needed to be given Versed to calm me down.
The bad reactiit before, Idk.

Oh okay. I might do that! Yeah I can't go through what I did last time. The first time I had bad side effects after wards....migraines, constant nausea, dizziness, back pain and had to get a blood patch bc it was the only thing that relieved it. The third time though, the pain and everything came immediately, I almost blacked out, my heart rate almost flat lined, my blood pressure raised and continued to be raised for a couple months after and I almost had a seizure. I STILL have migraines, back pain and neck spasms bc of that dick head who didn't listen to me. SMH....never again and never at that hospital. I should have stayed at the one I delivered my first two.

You should still have one appt before your c-section I would ask them when you go. Ask and if they say anything about putting the cath in before tell them no you would like it in after. the surgery takes roughly an hour and then about 30-45 minutes of recovery.

I do have one more check up, tomorrow. I will ask for sure.
Thank you.

I didn't get to see DS for 12 hours BUT he was having breathing issues so he was in special care an I had a hard time waking up after surgery.

As far as the catheter, you can ask for it to be put in after. Talk to he dr/surgeon t your pre-op

I wonder if they can put it in while I'm still out. That would be awesome. I don't like that kind of pain much lol.

If they can, you're lucky. Here, I never got the choice. In fact the last time, I remember asking the nurse if they could just wait till I was already numb and she got snooty with me and said no they couldn't and that it's standard policy for them to put it in before the c section when it's scheduled. I'm going back to the hospital I had my first two in this time so maybe I'll ask if they can wait to put mine in after too. Lol. I hate the pain and discomfort.

Ug I asked my OB about it and he said since I'm being sedated they'll do it before for me. I guess they don't wanna leave me under long.
I hate the pain too. Hopefully you'll be luckier than me.

Aww, that stinks! So sorry! Thanks, I hope so too. If not, oh well I guess I'll suck it up. You'd think after three times plus having to have one in place for all the surgeries and stuff I've had to go through the last four years, I would be used to getting catheters put in. But alas....I'm not. Sigh
