Quoting MunchkinWrangler:" Height is a big concern! Most kids outgrow seats with height before weight, so that's great to note! ... [snip!] ... (maybe 3, can't remember) harness strap heights above the one he's in! I see him staying in a 5pt harness until he's around 8. "

My daughter is all legs and was in the Nautilus until 8 harnessed :) The My Size is also surprisingly compact. This is the only pic I have so you really can't tell, but it's about 3 inches from touching the back of the seat, and that seat is pushed ALL the way back! The headrest extends about 6 more inches than it is set at right here, but I think it is closer to 8 inches more. My goddaughter can fit in it without it being fully extended, and she's 6!

I just want to say big kudos to being wise enough to see new info, accept it, and change your thinking. I have seen SO many parents who could have Usaac Newton himself explain Laws of Motion to them and they'd still cling to their pride. I myself look back and cringe at so many things I've now learned to do better! It gives me hope to see people who actually care :)

I see you have good info here... Lol just wanted to throw in that my 5 year old is rear facing in his Radian BUT if he had already been forward facing in a FF only seat I agree I wouldn't purchase a separate seat to turn around for a very short while.

Yup, looking back at some of the pictures of my DD in her seat *shutter*. I'm the one that gives ladies heart attacks before I learned better... but once I did she sure got turned back around and straps on properly.

Radian RFs to 45lbs right? My DD is already 40lbs (the reason we had to turn her) and with the way she grows, I know that she'd gain that last 5lbs quick and grow out of it. So I couldn't justify the cost. Not to mention I don't think it'd fit in my little car RFing anyway. I had issues with my SF CA 65 fitting.
