She almost died. user banned

So last week my 14.5 month old almost died in my arms. :(

She was playing on the floor and some how found a pine cone in her little toy box, and she tried to eat it. Biting the whole tip off the top it got lodged in her throat. She started coughing and gagging and a few pieces broke off and came out but the rest was stuck. I called 911 and they helped me over the phone to save her befeore the ambulance got there, she was turing purple and blue and it all happened like it was in slow mode or something like time just stopped.

Just as the ambulance pulled up I had the pine cone dislodged from her throat and she was vomitting everywhere and her breathing was coming back to normal. She ended up having an allergic reaction to the pine cone as well and broke out in hives. They did a chest xray on her to make sure non of it went into her lungs, but she has to go back in a few days cause pine cones are such a small density it wont show up on an xray. So I have to keep an eye on her that she dont get pnuemonia like symptoms.

I am so glade she is ok, I seriously thought she was going to die in my arms when she started turning blue and was barely breathing anymore :( all the cpr etc...training I have done in the past was blurred up and I panicked and couldnt remember what to do. But the 911 operator helped me through it.

I freaking count my blessings every day a million times over that she is ok and still here with us today. And my 4 yr old is no longer allowed to collect pine cones in the house anymore.....They stay outside.

Thanks.
I know it was so scary :( I take the red cross every two years or so, they come to the house for a family group session and they teach my other kids what to do as well. But I freaking lost my head, I couldnt think I was shaking and crying, it was truely the most horrifying thing ever.

Thanks ladies.

I am glad she is good too. I am constantly watching her on the floor and making sure my older kids always put their little toys in their rooms and off the floor, like marbels and polly pockets etc.....It was a shocker to me that she got a pine cone from her safe toy box :( I feel like I failed her on that one.

I know its no ones fault, it just happened to fall in there I guess. But the guilt of it is still in my head and the thoughts of what ifs are still there.
