When I had my daughter (who I gained just under 30lbs with) it all come off by a month post partum, and I'm pretty sure it was because of breastfeeding since it was christmas time and I was pigging out on junk lol. The weight literally just, like... fell off of me. It was awesome haha I got down to 128 and I loved it. It was the perfect weight for me.

Then when I stopped breastfeeding I went back up to 135 where I normally am.

This time I gained just over 30lbs and I'm 5 weeks post partum, and I still have 12lbs of it just hanging out in my mid section. Why is breastfeeding not making me lose this weight! lol.

So I've started counting calories and working out, hoping to get all this flab under control.

But did anyone else notice this too? (breastfeeding helping you lose weight with one and not the other?)

I have never been able to lose weight through breastfeeding. Not a pound. I don't know what i was doing wrong but I used to be 117 before I got pregnant the first time. I gained about 25 lbs and lost very little after he was born and ever since then my weight is just creeping up and no matter how careful I am with what I eat and how much I eat, or how much I exercise, it is STUCK. But since you're only a few weeks pp, I wouldn't worry about it. It will come off if it came off before.

BFing did not help me lose weight at all. In fact, it made me way more hungry.

Thirsty I could handle, cuz I love, love, love water. But with me, when I get hungry, I get so hungry that I seriously can't stop eating. It's a deep, aching empty stomach feeling that no matter how much I eat I can't seem to fill up. I would eat about twice as much as when I was pregnant. It was awful. I weigh 172 now and I feel awful about myself. I'm only 5 feet tall so I avoid looking in mirrors, I refuse to be in pictures, it's awful. I've never had a good self image and this is getting worse and worse.
