I always use this recipe because I've never tasted better & I'm the alfredo monster lol.

Heavy whipping cream, bring to a boil & add 1 cup of fresh shredded/grated parmesan cheese. Stir & let thicken. Add salt to taste. Its simple & if you use a little lemon pepper & garlic powder for your chicken its great. I always cook my noodles with a half a stick of butter or the 4 tablespoon equivalent of soft churned. Its creamy but not too creamy, not chunky & if you sprinkle a little more fresh parm on your plate after its made then it melts giving you even more cheesy goodness

Ahh gotcha. Fair enough. I usually don't get to eat until after either. That's one reason I reserve it for special things. I haven't made it anytime since my son was even born almost 13 months ago lol

Lol I've cheated quite a few times & ordered the alfredo from Dominos. Zeke doesn't let me cook unless he's on my hip then I can't fry anything without freaking out because I don't want him to get popped

This is how I make mine.

First i use extra virgin olive oil and some seasonings like pepper/garlic powder/rosemary etc...and I add in some minced fresh garlic, I toss in some fresh mushroom (sometimes) I add in chicken or shrimp, depending on if its a side or a meal. I cook it all up.

I add in a heavy cream, about 1 cup, then I add in 1/2 cup roughly of milk.
1 whole container of garlic cooking cream cheese, half a container of four cheese cooking cream cheese (or plain) I mix it all up till every thing melts and starts to thicken up a bit. Then I grate up some fresh parm cheese into untill it becomes thicker.
Then I pour it over my noodles , I use it on meat filled or even cheese filled tortellini shells as well, it is so good. I sometimes add in some peppers finely chopped and some onions etc.....

Never had it gritty before, my total cooking time is like 25 minutes start to finish, its so quick and easy even my 10.5 yr old makes it by herself lol
