haha yeah she is something else.... she has been going through midlife crisis lately and I can't even be around her. She thinks she is funny but I don't find the humor in it at all... our names have a lot of meaning to them and I will reveal middle names but not first names... my gram figured out our first name for a girl and has already been complaining about it because of the nicknames she will have... drives me crazy!!!

I think the only person that knows both options is my step mom because she does a lot of embroidery and she wants to have something with both names on it for when baby is born but I told her she better make sure those things are locked up tight haha

Well that's really sweet with the embroidery, I love special homemade gifts like that! :D

On another note, I hate when people come up with their own nicknames for my kids. Ugh. My MIL likes to call our daughter, Lara, "La Reina" because it means "little queen" and she thinks it is just the best thing ever. Jose and I both hate it. So obnoxious. And about a thousand times more annoying because she knows we don't like it and have asked her not to, but she does it anyway.

That's probably the worst part. I don't care for the nickname, but I'm sure others do, and that's fine, whatever. The fact that she knows we hate it and does it anyway makes me want to slap her.

I am right there with you!!! My oldest sons name is Dominic and his grandfather on sperm donors side refuses to call him Dominic and calls him Nick.... Umm if I wanted him to be called Nick I would have named him Nicholas.... I have asked him to stop and he just keeps doing it. We call him Dom and that is fine with me he has some cute nicknames like the Dominator and silly ones like that but the Nick one really pushes my buttons!!! Poor Landon his father called him landfill forever because he was so large... luckily that one has died down.

Woo! 11 weeks tomorrow, almost done with the 1st trimester. I haven't been on here much lately. Hope you're all doing good and your morning sickness is going away (if you had it).

I saw something about names but I could find the original post haha. We have names decided! Although the boy name is still up in the air as DH isn't completely sure even though he came up with it lol. For a girl Vivienne Rose and for a boy Kevin Joseph.
Vivienne comes from my aunt who passed away a few years ago but everyone in my family loved her as for Rose, we wanted a short middle name and this one sounded the best. Kevin, I have no idea where he thought that one up but Joseph is DH's grandpa's name.

We won't be announcing the names to everyone else until we find out if it's a boy or girl though. Still having a feeling it's a girl though! :)

Semi-related, we've always joked about naming a baby Kevin or some silly girly thing like Kevina because way back when we first got together, my grandma mistakenly labeled Jose as "Kevin" on the back of a picture. Because "Kevin" is just so close to Jose, right? This is a running family joke.

I don't do nick names for my kids either and when family calls them anything but their names I quickly correct them.
