There's a really cool 3D place in Lexington called the Baby Belly Pregnancy Spa. They do 3d/4d ultrasounds and massages to pregnant women! They have really good deals, you should check them out!

So I was reading on another forum about delayed cord clamping, have any of you ladies decided to do this after the birth of your baby? It's supposed to be really beneficial for the baby and pump extra iron to the baby. I think that I will talk to my doctor and see if they practice this at the hospital.

Yep! Delaying the cord clamping even a few minutes can be beneficial! Not to mention that allows you a few minutes to cuddle and hold baby before they take him/her to weigh and measure.
We are going to delay clamping until it looks like the umbilical cord is empty if possible. Which is awesome for baby and will also make it easier on the lady who is encapsulating my placenta for me :)

Ugh I hate driving out here though so I highly doubt I'll drive there on my own. Thanks for letting me know though! Maybe if DH comes home again in 2 weeks and we still haven't found out we can go there. He'll probably consider it especially since he'll be gone at work for most of my appointments anyhow lol.

I'm really hoping my doctor can schedule my c-section at my apt tomorrow. I know it'll be early but this would give DH's family time to get cheap plane tickets. :P Finger's crossed.

Yes! My midwife said they cut the cord when they get around to it. Bonding is more important, and the cord blood is beneficial for baby too :)

Well ladies, I had my ultrasound today and baby is measuring 15 weeks. So that moves my due date up to December 29th! I also found out I'm having another little boy!!! The ultrasound tech said she will check again at 19 weeks, but it was pretty obvious we have another little man on our hands. I wasn't expecting this all today and I am sooooo excited!!!

Just got back from my appointment. At first it took the nurse a while to find the heartbeat and I was getting worried but she eventually found it and it was at 163. All my labs are normal as expected. Sadly I won't get to find out what baby is for another 5 weeks unless we go to another place. Sucks but eh oh well. We can at least start buying furniture lol. :P

I'll most likely have my baby Dec. 30th (a week before the DD) but I'm still staying here. You could stay :D

Ugh that's gonna make me so nervous, if they have trouble finding it. But yay! I hope the next 5 weeks fly by.
