Because condoms don't break...

Get a clue.

It annoys me that so many seem to think that the only people that will be using these are teenagers whose goal is to have as much unprotected sex as possible. I don't just mean on BG, some of the comments on the original article gave off that vibe.
Will there be people that will abuse it? Yes, as with everything. Are these the majority? Most likely not.
Teenagers are, for the most part, going to end up having sex at least once. If they are educated (by parents, hopefully) properly about sex, it's potential emotional/physical ramifications, and the importance of birth control and it's correct usage, the abuse products like Plan B will be less. Of course there are no guarantees, but honestly, I can't help but think that if someone abuses it, that's better than them popping out kids that they can't take care of.

i jsut think this is so stupid! until 18 kkids should have to go speak to a doctor, i think it is already pretty easy to get Plan B , if kids feel they are responsible enough to have sex, then they should be responsible enough to go speak to a doctor and face their issues.

Great. Too bad they don't have a Plan B for STDs.
And, who ever said I am anti-f**king?

So, educated people don't have unwanted pregnancies or STDs?

why do you think they need to talk to their doctor about a pill thats safe and you only have to take one time? you have to take it within 72 hours anyways and from my experience i cant get a doctors appointment within three days AND the point is that their parents dont have to know but if they have to see a doctor how are there parents not gonna know??

I dont think teens will use it as birth control either

well there is always that percentage of girls that will use abortions as bc which is sad because your body and mind and emotions go through alot. Im pro choice but even I see the danger of that and I dont agree with it... BUT plan B is not physically taxing, and except for the normal worry of being pregnant taking it isnt emotionally and mentally taxing. I think its harmful if you take so many times in a certain amount of time but hopefully its being regulated... as for those girls who will use it as bc, well like someone else said better that than having babies!

it really is not that safe, especially if say a 15 year old takes one ever other month bc they had an accident. kids are irresponsible and are just getting into the whole sex life, they are stupid and make mistakes. Plan B- they are a very harmful and dangerous dosage of the hormonal steroid progestin that has already been proven to cause breast cancer, blood clots, cervical cancer, arterial plaque, and liver cancer in far lower dosages (birth control pills). Additionally, they deplete a woman

so having a baby is less stressful physically, emotionally, and mentally than taking pan b?
