It says not to take it while breast feeding, and how this stuff effects me be careful I know it is different for everyone but aghhh I hate it I gave it since last Monday and I want off of it bad..

I HATED topamax. Hated it. It took care of my issues but the side effects out weighed everything. It was terrible.

I was on it but used a half dose...I nursed for 31 months. I nicknamed it dopamax though. Made me so tired but never affected my daughter.

The way that topamax affected me when I took it, I wouldn't breastfeed and take a chance with my baby. I had horrible side effects on topamax, especially when it came to my vision. I stopped taking it long ago and I haven't looked back since.
I also think that anorexia is a possible side affect? I know a lot of people lose weight on topamax. That probably isn't good when your breastfeeding.. I didn't lose any weight on it though.... Sadly ....I could stand to lose a bit lol
Mine was prescribed as a mood stabilizer btw.

Topamax gave my dh psychotic thoughts (of course he would get the ''rare'' side effects.
