Quoting Thr3e Little Birds:" Yeah the crying right away is a great sign. The one time she did get a concussion she didnt cry, just ... [snip!] ... Her eye barely missed the corner of it so I literally threw that thing into the garage. I haven't had a coffee table since. LOL"

Yep, it's going out of the living room for sure!!!

Quoting Moses.:" That is typically outdated information. It's considered an "old wives tale" now days. The last this ... [snip!] ... a LONG night, but about every hour make sure you are able to get her to respond to you. The bump is good, an indention is not. "

not true bout the old wives tale. OP if she has a bump and bruise is a good things. If her bump goes inward then watch her. Ive had a concussion at 17months and had to have staples and brain surgery. But not from a hitting my head. Keep a eye on her.

She just woke up again to nurse, was crawling around in her crib crying for a boobie. I'm going to keep a close eye on her tonight. I wish it was tomorrow already so she was awake!

It is, just as another mama said, it is completely outdated information and isn't given out to anyone but doctors who still recommend rice as early as possible. It is nothing more than a myth now.

From the sounds of it, she's going to be just fine :) When my oldest was around 6 months old she fell out of her swing onto the ceramic tile. I thought she was fine, she acted all happy, but 2 days later started vomiting and the dr had me rush her to the ER. After CT Scan, xrays and a urine sample, the cause was a UTI  SHe was perfectly fine head wise  It's always terrifying when they get hurt.
