Pretty much what the subject says. How do you spell Asher/Ashur the proper way.



We found it in two different bibles and one is spelled Asher the other is Ashur.

They could both be correct and be totally different names. I'm pronouncing them completely differently, so go with whatever you think sounds better. To me I'd go with Asher, even though its not my style of name.

And a bit to keep in mind... The Assyrians were vicious evil people. So were their gods. So I'd go with ER and give them a positive name meaning lol.

If you like Ashur, use it. I wouldn't the culture of a name prevent me from using it.
