My friend/neighbor is currently in a custody battle for his son. The mother had the child taken from her by CPS due to severe neglect, but the child is staying with a family in the same house the mother is living. My friend (the baby's father) had to get a DNA test done and it came back positive so now he has a hearing June 10th to try to get custody. What kind of things can he expect from this? Both him and his wife have a stable job, clean home, and reliable child care (me) for when they are working. Does he need to have anything else in order?
Nope. She isn't even supposed to be living in the same house with the kid if CPS took him/her from her custody.
Quoting tonys_mama(army wife):" Nope. She isn't even supposed to be living in the same house with the kid if CPS took him/her from her custody."
That's what I thought. I don't even know if CPS knows she is living there.
Have him report her for living in the same house.
