so yesterday i started spotting with brown blood. it was followed by lots of cramping and more discharge and brown specks when i went pee. but when i called the doctor this morning to let them know that i had a miscarriage. they called me back ad said that my beta levels were great. 80,000 to be exact. but im sure i had a miscarriage. they just want me to wait until i get more blood work tomorrow and then monday. Does this sound normal?
Miscarriages normally have a lot more bleeding. Spotting, especially brown spotting, can be a normal part of the 1st tri. I would wait until they do an U/S before counting the baby out. If you start bleeding heavily (like a period or worse) *then* i would be concerned about a miscarriage or something like that. Hoping for good news for you!
Brown blood is old blood.... that doesn't mean you had a M/C
As long as its not bright red bleeding and your levels are still up I would say its normal.... hang in there momma!!
That doesn't sound like a miscarriage at all...

Brown spotting is actually quite normal so if you're levels are 80,000 that's great
I wouldn't assume anything until you get your blood work back...when I miscarried there was tons of clotting and bright red blood and my levels had dropped dramatically...what you are experiencing could be normal. Some women spot and bleed during pregnancy. Good Luck. .
miscarriage would be bright red blood with clots. Brown blood, as posted before me, is OLD blood.
Just because you are/were bleeding does not mean miscarriage.
My first miscarriage though, I had no brown bleeding, it was red, no clots, and no cramps.
Second one, bright red bleeding, big clots, lots of cramping.
Yes, some bleeding in early pregnancy can be normal.
As far as your levels...seems phenomenal for almost 6 weeks. My levels in my first, which was lost at 6 weeks, was only about 500

All of my miscarriages started with brown spotting.
But I agree with a previous poster, OP. I wouldn't rule out a pregnancy just yet. Some women spot early on.

:!:I had a early mc at 5 weeks and there was quite a bit of blood. It was like a really awful period.
Best of luck OP. I
my mc at 6wks was lots of bright red blood, clots and horrible cramps & back pain.
I had a miscarriage with my last pregnancy in September 2012 at the same point as you (5wk, 5d). However, I had A LOT of bright red blood - a lot. I didn't have any pain, only minor cramping. When I had my levels tested, it was as if I never had a miscarriage so they thought it was ectopic...it wasn't. It was just a very odd miscarriage. Your case doesn't sound like a miscarriage, but that doesn't mean you didn't have one - you should know within a week either way. Whatever happens, just know that a miscarriage this early is a sign that things were not right from the get go - with me, they thought the egg wasn't fully attached - and if it is a miscarriage, take peace in knowing that it usually makes you more fertile. I lost my baby september 17th 2012 and found out I was pregnant again december 26th 2012 (conceived approx. dec 7th).
i had spotting like that all through my pregnancy but the baby turned out fine and healthy so my fingers are crossed for you x

I will agree with the more fertile part...It took my husband and I over 10 years to get pregnant and it resulted in a miscarriage. I was pregnant again within 6 months of the miscarriage and we weren't even trying...it just happened.
