Try putting him on your chest/tummy. He probably won't mind that since babies just like being close. He won't even realize he's getting tummy time lol

This. My son hated tummy time as well but loved being on my chest and it also doubled as skin to skin time, and made it easy when he got hungry since he was already on my chest.

My son hated tummy time from day one the doctor said it was probably because of his bad reflux. It wasn't until he started rolling from his back to his belly (4 1/2 months) that he was almost forced to do it. Now he's a pretty good pro and caught up quite a bit I think (7 1/2 months old now). He is still trying to figure out how to crawl but whenever I put him on his back he rolls right over even to sleep now! So not all is lost. He loved being chest to chest with me while he slept from day one so in a since that was some sort of tummy time :-).
