With my second i had the worst heart burn ever the ONLY thing that helped me was a glass of water with a pinch of baking soda.

On the Tums website it says that not only is it okay to take Tums but, it also gives you extra calcium. I'd check with my doctor first but, I love my Tums and have been told it's fine. You can go on just about any website designed for the medicine itself i.e; tylonel, motrin, tums, etc. And they will have a section for safety of pregnancy.
