I am thirty nine weeks pregnant with a baby boy who has trisomy eighteen and my cervix hasn't moved and its not dialating at all. I'm on my feet all the time constantly going on walks up and down stairs and all and nothing is working. Do I have a cervix that is not working properly or what? I am having an all natural birth and the doctors have checked my cervix twice nothing is happening with it. If anyone knows anything that will help and won't cause problems with me or the baby please please reply with a post or something.

My cervix was facing my back. It never moved fully centered and I only dilated a pinkie. As my doctor told me "Nothing is "wrong" with you or the baby." Sometimes our bodies just can't handle something or it doesn't get the hint on how to do it. I had a birthing plan set I wanted a natural birth. But, I couldn't after 3 days of pitocin induced labor the morning of the fourth day I finally went back for the c-section. Just a bit of advice if you do have a c-section please try to get up as soon as possible. It will help in the long run. Good luck and congrats!
