Me and DH have officially decided to start TTC #2. Our daughter took us a whole year of trying (after being diagnosed with PCOS a year prior and taking Metformin the whole year we were TTC as well) My daughter is only 9 months, but we want our children close.. And not knowing if it'll take us a month, year, or a couple years to conceive we don't want to wait. I am a bit confused though.. My last period ended April 22nd (it was 6 days long), and I got some spotting May 1st.. (I never get spotting, ever..) That seems too close to the end of my period to have ovulated already.. I would have on CD 8 and that's just going with the minimum 7 days before implanting. Any ideas?

And I have another question, I would get my periods every 3-4 months before DD and I never got the EW CM, ovulation pains or anything. I'm assuming I didn't ovulate every month.. But since having her, I am super regular, get the EW CM, have no cysts AT ALL (YAY!!!) and get pelvic/ovulation pains. Did this happen to anyone else? Could a baby really restart your body?

Baby dust and hoping for the best to everyone trying! :)

I don't have personal experience but know from reading a ton of fertility articles, threads, etc that yes a baby can definitely restart your body as you put it. Many women try for years to have a baby naturally then fail, so they get ivf. Next thing you know after the ivf baby is born, they suddenly conceive naturally! Its a widely known and accepted thing that you are more fertile after having given birth to one child. (especially soon after) I'm just going to go out on a limb right now and say IMO you probably won't have as hard of a time conceiving this time, especially since your periods are more regular now. Its simple, you are ovulating more often than you did before so more chances to get PG!!! Good luck to ya : )

Sorry in advance for replying to your question with a
Question.

When you said you have no cysts (yay!) Do cysts make it harder to get pregnant? Because I have multiple cysts on each ovary and I've had 3 ruptures. My cysts are hemmoraggic so when they've ruptured each time I had to stay overnight in the hospital because of internal bleeding. The doctors never mentioned anything about them messing with my fertility but then again I never asked.

It could have been random spotting, not meaning anything. You could have ovulated early and had some ovulation spotting. The pelvic pains you get every month could mean that you're ovulating, my daughter regulated me.

Good luck! I hope you get a BFP soon! Are you using OPKs?

Ovarian cysts can make it harder to get pregnant, some people with ovarian cysts get pregnant very easily. I'd ask your doctor for his/her opinion.

I'm not using them right now. I feel like I stress to much when I start charting/using opks. This is the second month we're trying so I think I'll give it a few more before I start using them. Is there a brand you prefer? :)

These, I've never had a problem with them. http://www.amazon.com/Wondfo-Step-Ovulation-Strips-50-Count/dp/B00286XB50/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1367702585&sr=8-8&keywords=opks

I only used them at first when I got the cramping to see if it was O or not. I agree though, don't make TTC stressful
