I am going to get pegged as a "baiter" for this but here it is anyway. I understand your frustration but from the opposite end of the adoption puzzle. I have applied to many agencies and it is over whelming! You don't have to go through a agency. If you know someone personally who you want to adopt your baby all you need is a adoption attorney. Both ways are equally legal. A adoption attorney is also able to help you with finding adoptive parents you don't have to go through a agency. If you do decide to go through a agency, I would suggest you ask for a open adoption. You can always change your mind about keeping contact but, if you sign off on a closed adoption ... What's done is done. I have been looking into adoption for a few months now so, if you need anymore help I would be glad to try.
