That's her husband, why wouldn't it be her concern? It's not a random person on the street.

Lol apparently...

Is he smoking around Lo? Does she ever see him smoking?
That is of your concern aswell as his health and why he's lying.

Oops I misread it.
Then I would definitely ask him about it without attacking him.
Maybe offer help to get him started on quitting?

No, he does it at work (Rob said he bums cigarettes from him) or after I go to bed.

Jason lied to me about it for like 8 months even when given many chances to be honest. I got sick of it finally and went out and got them out of his backpack for work and threw them at him at 1am and commenced yelling at him. Took a LONG TIME to trust him with anything again.

Of course it your concern! It's your husband! I would bring it up to him and talk with him about it. Maybe he's ashamed?

He hides them in his truck. I don't even like to look at them. I don't know why it bothers me so much. Maybe because I take care of people with COPD all the time and don't want my daughters to watch their dad struggle for breath due to a nasty habit.

Lol okay

I would try to talk calmly about it and just talk about why he's lying about what he's doing and not give your opinion...considering he already knows how u feel about smoking.

I went through this with my ex husband. I chose to confront him. I told him that I was worried about his health and it hurt deeply knowing he was lying to me. I told him, if he lied to me about this, it really concerned me that there may be other things he wasn't telling me.

I think it's best to speak from the heart, calmly and in earnest. If it bothers you it IS a REAL PROBLEM. There is no sliding scale in marriage if youare a rational person, if something troubles you, you should share it. Maybe you'll decide to let him have his vice, or maybe he'll decide it's not worth it. But it has to come out. I would try and keep it as casual as possible so he doesn't feel attacked.

good luck.

I'll probably bring it up after his final exams. I don't want to add to his stress. I'm probably part of the reason he smokes to begin with. :-/

I won't even get started on his drinking. He gets drunk every night. It must be miserable living with me. :(
