Today I had to go to the ER because I was feeling so horrible, I didn't want to go at all because the last time I was in there I had a UTI my first and I was in pain I waited 5 hours before they saw me and they wasted many hours before they gave a shot I came in around 4 pm and didn't leave till almost 12 am the next day. I didn't want to experience that again and since the Island is so small we only have 1 hospital.

This time I got in and they took me in straight away, the people were much more nicer and there was always a nurse checking in on me unlike last time. They diagnosed me with HG and I had to have two bags of IV, was my first time having IV, it didn't hurt as badly as I thought it would. The shot I had for my UTI was a terror compared to the IV, it did feel uncomfortable because of the pressure from the liquid going into my vein. I got a ultrasound and saw my little baby :D I saw the heartbeat, the head and feet and they say I was measuring at 12w4d rather than the 12w I thought I was, they gave me a due date of November 13.
Apparently I also had another UTI but I never felt it, no burning, no blood, no pain and I got a prescription for the UTI meds and Zofran.

I'm just happy to know that it wasn't just in my head and I wasn't willfully starving myself, my mother was there with me and she was shocked to learn about HG, she just couldn't imagine someone throwing up everything they ate and even water because she never had morning sickness with any of her 7 pregnancies.

I feel so much better after the IV and Zofran, I was able to eat and drink water and not feel so nauseated. It must be hormones because that alone makes me tear up.

HG is no joke and I know that swell of emotion you get when you finally experience some relief. Hope it gets better for you soon.

Thank you, I hope so too, it has been such a trying week, I'm hoping to get some rest as well as keeping food in.
