you will! I also induced and didn't get my milk in until a few days after delivery. It's normal and ok.

What everyone else said. Dont stress and ask to talk to a lactation consultant in the hospital they will help you with everything.

Milk doesnt come in until 2-7 days after the baby is born all they need is colostrum until then.

Hun there's so much more Info on bfing now! It's not hereditary and most likely if she's have had a good LC she wouldn't have had issues. Ask the nurses to give you a LC ASAP. And baby's tummy is the size of a marble they don't need anything except colostrum. Do not give formula or it'll just make it harder to bf. and don't forget babies do lose weight the first week so don't think they're not getting milk cause they lost weight.

The colostrum was enough until my milk came in. Babies need very little of anything during their first few days of life. If you're worried, you can always supplement with very small amounts of formula until your milk comes in all the way.

I never leaked before and I wasn't even able to pump colostrum post delivery. Don't worry it is there. And just FYI babies don't have a need for food till 48 hours of life. Up until then its just the need to suck so if the latch is right do it often for stimulation!!
