the other day my daughter , who is 5 , got out the photo album and wanted me to show her the pictures of her being born
so we sat down and looked though them , we had pictures of the moment the doctor grabbed her head and was pulling her out
she was amazed and asked alot of questions , and because this baby we are having is going to be by c section she asked if there will be pictures of her sister too lol
sure there is blood and all but she was more focused on herself then the blood and was amazed that she came out of mummys belly , then she asked me to show her my scar lol

Damn, we didn't even try to let DH in! :( Lol it was an emergency c-section though, and everything happened so fast! I am still really sad I wasn't conscience when he was born :( Everyone got to see him before I did..

I know that feeling. I had an epidural that stopped my labor, and put my son into distress. They put me in for an emergency csection but my epidural popped out while they were prepping me. It was a huge blur, but I'm glad I had some pictures.

Same here! My husband was just so scared and worried about us he totally forgot about taking pictures
This time it's planned so hopefully we get some

that's what happened to me too, with my last. the whole situation was horrible for me and hubby, and that is one of the reasons we decided we were done. I was terrified of having to go through that again.

Yeah.. My epidural kept wearing off, I got it replaced twice! My son's umbilical cord was getting pressed by his shoulder, so they needed to do a c-section. The first pictures we have of DS are of him getting cleaned off and sponge bathed in the nursery area, and it actually makes me sad when I see those, because it's this female nurse cleaning off DS and DH watching and I'm just like ugh this lady got to do this with him before I could even meet him :( lol it sounds silly now that I typed it out, but I think having pictures to look at of his birth would have helped a lot!

Aww! I'm definitely having him take pictures, but I won't look until I'm in recovery!
With DD1 we weren't allowed to take any pictures in OR. We're at a different hospital this time, so hopefully he'll get some good ones! The main one I want is her being pulled out, and then one like you had of LO held up with umbilical cord hanging. So beautiful.
Your SO/DH took those?

Yea he did :D I talked to my dr like 3 weeks before the c-section and told him that I wanted pics of the cord still attached. He said as long as everything was going perfect it would be no problem! SO was sitting up by my head and was able to snap those and then kept taking pics as they cleaned him up and everything. He was less than 2 minutes old and was already sucking his thumb! We ended up getting like 200 pics before he was even an hour old :D

Mine was camera shy and overwhelmed. The anesthesiologist actually took the camera from him and snapped pictures of LO being pulled out, his first birth pictures and then A nurse took pictures on the exam table and then DH took a few. Then I started getting hot and feeling sick so they stopped taking pictures to tend to me so I didn't barf. All in all, it was a good experience and I have a lot of photos like my vs final birth.

My emergency c-section was different. I didn't get many photes just one family pic before they whipped him off to the nursery to check his vitals and monitor him. I didn't get any more until I was in recovery. DH and my aunt let me look at their csmeras so I could see what he looked like while I waited for him to come to my room.
