Did you take your older child to do something fun and focused just on them before you had your LO?
Taking DD to the zoo for the first time on Wednesday. We just want to have a day with the three of us (me DD and SO) before LO is here in June. I'm so excited for her! I hope she loves it!
Although the zoo is a good 40 miles from the hospital and I'm a little paranoid that I'll go into labor at the zoo. (;

I didn't get to, I had planned on going to Disney in Florida with my in laws but I ended up having PTL the entire pregnancy and was in and out of L&D. T_T He ended up going with out me, and I had our youngest two days before they got back! I guess it worked out that way, but still I would have loved to have been with him the first time he got to go.

Nope I didn't get to. I was dealing with PTL my whole pregnancy so I was on strict bed rest. And since LO turned 1 three weeks before my second was born it wasn't to big of a deal to do anything special. She wouldn't have understood or even remembered if we had.
We just had Mommy/baby snuggle time :)

Aww, I feel lucky enough to be able to go as a family and do something like this. I'm a little nervous about taking her though, I'm worried she won't enjoy it as much as I think she will lol.
I had DD1 at 35w6d, and I'm 35w2d now. But I went to L&D for a labor check last week and no dilation, only 50% effaced so I am keeping my hopes up and fingers crossed for her to stay in there!

Thank you!
And yes, they will be very close in age. Closer than I'd like, there was a condom oopsie. (lol) But it works to our advantage, because in 5 years both girls will be in school, and I can choose my career and do that, but still have the advantage of their first years and being a SAHM while they're still little. (: I'm very excited.

We did with our oldest . We actually took her to the Aquarium on my due date . My first and second are 21 months apart in age. We didn't do anything special with our two oldest before there brother came last jan but were going to try to take them to the children's museum however I went into labor three weeks early so that was a no go. This time around were going to be taking all three to the cheese factory and the aquarium agian and if we can swing it the zoo . One thing we do try to do in addition to these trips is for my hubby or both of us to take one kid out at a time for a mommy daddy kid date . They love it! We may wait to do the zoo agian till after the baby comes though. I'm not one to sit in the house after the birth .
