<blockquote><b>Quoting Baby Love.:</b>" Ah. I didn't do meth. I did mostly coke and oxy.... any opiate I could get my hands on, benzos, blah blah blah. Dry detox from that. It BLOWS."</blockquote>

I have! I detoxed from xanax before. It was excruciating. I was taking 6-12 mg a day. Also have detoxed from klonopin but that wasn't as bad as the xanax.

I had seizures detoxing from benzos. Is that what you're going to have to detox from? Because I've been slowly weaned off of klonopin before and it worked, as in I had no withdrawals.

My brother went to prison for some very stupid stuff he did while on meth. He was there for 18 months the day he got out he was doing it again. It breaks my heart to know that he is doing it he is a different person while he is on it. We have all tried to help him but he just pushes us all away. He is the one that has to want to get off of it. The thing is he can go months with out touching it and then go months on it.

No, pain meds. Percocet and fentynl.

I was a crack cocaine addict. Let me tell you if it was that easy to just recover and be sober I'm sure she would for her kids. Unfortunately it's the hardest thing I ever had to go through in my life. Meth is worse than coke so I can only imagine how hard it would be. However that's no excuse and she should check herself into a rehab. But drug addiction is a mind disease and alot of addicts have a hard time checking themselves into rehab.

Congratulations on your sobriety. How did you get clean?

Thanks. It took me alot to finally give it up. I began the summer after junior year in highschool then I dropped out of school and did it daily for two years. I stole thousands of dollars and lost all my friends and attempted suicide many times. I crashed my moms car and totalled it in an attempt to kill myself which now resulted in me owing an insurance company $25,000. I over dosed 3 times. I went to rehab twice. The second time I actually completed treatment and was put on antidepressants and anxiety meds but when I got home I started again. But by that point my mom had enough and kicked me out. So I was homeless an then I met my now SO who got me on my feet and helped me stay clean! Haven't got drunk or high in two years now.

Wow that is crazy. 2 years is great, hopefully many more to come.

I also found out yesterday that my friend can not keep the kids and they will be going to foster care. Their mother is going into rehab soon and may get them back when she completes the program. I also found out that it was the girls mom who notified CPS in hopes that she could take custody from her daughter. Turns out she is not deemed fit because she is terminal.

I was a meth addict about 15 years ago. However, my love for my daughter WAS enough. Many people aren't that lucky, and luckily since my daughter was only 2 at the time, she doesn't remember anything. Glad I was able to clean up when I did
