Anything, at this point. I'd prefer security, but I put in for over night stocking at a local grocery store. Over nights are the only jobs that pay some what decently.

I'm getting paid but I'm not working!

Quoting Destinite:" Well, I am sorry he's running you ragged. How old is he?"

It is not the running ragged part. I don't mind chasing him around and playing with him. It is the screaming bloody murder at everything part. Like for me this used to be easy back when just driving a car would entertain him or playing monster and chasing him around but lately it has just been hell.

Awww, I am sorry Mama. I know it can be rough when they're that age. I would go bonkers with the screaming too.
I about had a psycho moment at the grocery store b/c there were multiple children in the store screaming like that.
I had to keep telling myself that my son was once that age & I'm glad it isn't me with that kid! haha
My son wasn't a terrible screamer, but he was and still is a very 'busy' kid. I wish I could bottle up his energy and sell it.
It will get better with age, I promise.

Are you really schizo? Man I surprise myself sometimes.

I can understand and I would need an alcoholic beverage or joint to calm my nerves after hearing screaming all day.

I think my main thing is I am constantly just scared to death that this screaming is going to lead to someone calling CPS and him getting taken away and I know I couldn't handle that so it makes his screaming even more stressful. Like our neighbor is one of those who would do it just because he can hear our child running around during the day. I know they shouldn't take him away but they are seriously taking kids away for less these days and it scares the shit out of me and drives me to tears when he is screaming and I cannot do anything to get him to quiet down. Part of it is I feel like I am failing him by not being able to get him to calm down but the other part is I don't need the cops to come busting my door down.

That's kind of an odd fear. Kids scream. Kids cry. Why so paranoid?

I don't think they'd take him for that. Does he have his own room? I'd say put him in his room for 2 minutes anytime he goes into those screaming fits. Of course as long as there is nothing in there he can play with or hurt himself with.
I don't think you're failing him or yourself, you're just burnt out, tired and wish he wouldn't scream like he does. I can understand totally.

Quoting Ravey Candyass:" so work with him. ignore it when he screams. he'll scream himself tired, and realize you won't give in."

I have tried ignoring it. It doesn't work he doesn't get tired. He has gone on for over an hour before just screaming as loud as he can. Everyone tells me oh he will tire himself out but he really doesn't do it. I am tempted to record it one day because I tell people and no one seems to understand what I mean at all. My mom understands now because we lived with her for a few months but no one else seems to be able to understand that I am not over-exaggerating when I say that.
Like my hair is seriously falling out in clumps from stressing over this so much and I have been so f**king sick from the stress. Just like f**k.

Perhaps invest in some parenting courses?

Have you asked his doc. about it at all? That sounds absolutely stressful, especially if you're living in close proximity to other people, for sure.

I don't have a job because with DH schedule I cannot work. However I would love to work. I'm starting school in the fall though.
