I think you're right about it being mentally challenging. All of that other stuff is pretty easy.

Well, I am sorry he's running you ragged. How old is he?

Just FYI this was not meant to be a competition on what's harder, I was just curious how many working moms are out there at 1:30 on a Wednesday. I'm on my lunch break right now!

Quoting Destinite:" What's the problem? I know boys can be a handful & mine drives me sort of crazy from time to time. "

Mine is just constantly going. He sleeps five hours a night if I am lucky and for about an hour during nap time plus lately it has been constant screaming. Like I have always been able to deal with children screaming but not like this. He screams that ear piercing scream for EVERYTHING. At bedtime when he doesn't want to sleep and if he drops a toy and for when he wants his toy dog to fly and it doesn't fly or for if I give him food and he doesn't want to eat it. Everything turns into screaming. And then just I feel like he is constantly going. Right now he is napping but that will be over soon and it will be back to chasing him everywhere and him screaming at every little thing. I know everyone says it is terrible twos but my little sister and little brother NEVER did this..

Yeah my kid being insane is my fault. Then again I am schizophrenic so you never know.

Oh and I forget to mention the night terrors he has when he does sleep. Lately he screams for 10-15 minutes straight when he is having those.

In my experience, kids do that because their behavior is rewarded. You give in to him when he screams so he continues to do it to make you give him what he wants. He doesn't do it purposely but it is a habit that has formed.

Anything, at this point. I'd prefer security, but I put in for over night stocking at a local grocery store. Over nights are the only jobs that pay some what decently.

It is not the running ragged part. I don't mind chasing him around and playing with him. It is the screaming bloody murder at everything part. Like for me this used to be easy back when just driving a car would entertain him or playing monster and chasing him around but lately it has just been hell.

Awww, I am sorry Mama. I know it can be rough when they're that age. I would go bonkers with the screaming too.
I about had a psycho moment at the grocery store b/c there were multiple children in the store screaming like that.
I had to keep telling myself that my son was once that age & I'm glad it isn't me with that kid! haha
My son wasn't a terrible screamer, but he was and still is a very 'busy' kid. I wish I could bottle up his energy and sell it.
It will get better with age, I promise.

I can understand and I would need an alcoholic beverage or joint to calm my nerves after hearing screaming all day.
