I am watching a daytime talk show (Tricia Goddard show) and it is about race. There is an author that claims that no one is purely one race. I agree there is probably a lot more "mixed race" people than identify themselves that way as you go back in geneaology, but I think there is some that are pure.

Doesn't mean anyone is better or anything, however I just wondered what BG thinks.

Idk, maybe there are some "pure races" in Europe and Africa. But definitely not in America IMO.

My family has traced our roots back to the 16th century. All white people. A combo of mostly irish, with a bit of german.

When peopel say "mixed", I think they are talking about skin color or physical features, not heritage

I think there are mixed people, I'm of African, Spanish, and Chinese descent but I also believe there are people who are purely one race.

There are definetely no pure races in Europe, we invaded the shit out of each other for hundreds of years lol. Celts, Vikings, Romans and Africans were all present at one time or another in much of europe. There were native black populations as well as early as the roman era having come over to serve in the army and then staying on and marrying etc. Intermarriage and assimilation were very common.

I'd argue the same for Africa, seen as they also had huge empires such as the Mossi empire and the peul empire and when certain ethnic groups go cattle raiding, they often take women who are then married to their abductors thus teh two ethnic groups are merged.

Is Tricia Goddard english? She used to be on British TV if it's the right women I'm thinking of. I don't believe that there is ethnic or racial purity. I think we're all muts but we often like to forget it.

She does have a british accent. I don't know if she has had a TV show in England, I only heard of her from being involved with the Maury show and then got her own recently.
