What do you like better?

For me,

Moira (Moy-rah)
Pro's-
Unlikely to be short formed
Differnt sound
Not very popular

Cons-
Sounds old lady-ish
Not sure its "cute" sounding

Matilda
Pro's
Sounds "cute"
Good flow

Con's
Could be shortened to Matty (Which I hate. Like I totally hate it)
Getting more popular

Please give me some imput!

it's Irish...how about Maeve?...I like it, totally uncommon..also Irish..how about Adilaide also?...it's German, and I really don't think anyone would give that a nickname..

I really like them all, but I don't think I'd use those names unless I had family background.

I like Moira better than Matilda. I like Miranda better than both. I bring that one up because that one comes to mind when I think of those. Just figured I'd throw it out there. I wouln't use any of the three though.

I don't like either..but the first one people probably will always ask how it's pronounced..so if I had to chose i'd choose Matilda.

I prefer the pronunciation Maura.

I just read a book and one of the main characters, her name was Moira.. I think it's a very strong name and not very common at all. I do think that it would be butchered by ppl mispronouncing the name!
