There are other pregnant women that are as far along as I am but 3x the size of me? Is this normal. I don't really have much of a baby bump..

With my first I didn't show until almost 7 months along.

I was 32 weeks with my first before people started asking me if I was pregnant. According to ultrasounds my baby was measuring fairly big too and I'm a small woman.

I am dealing with Placenta Previa and just into my 6th month. My stomach isn't really big like it was the first time around, and it's kind of soft rather than hard to the touch.

With my first though... I didn't start showing until I was 6/7 months.

I really don't think the previa effects how baby grows though. Your cervix is way down low and the placenta is covering it, being it could cause bleeding and stuff. I will look more but I don't believe it effects how your stomach grows. That's due to uterus size and amniotic fluid as well. At 17 weeks there's just not that much there. Its that balloon analogy. The first time you blow up a balloon it is hard to stretch and takes a while to get big. But if you let that air out and blow up the same balloon it inflates much easier.

I stand corrected it can cause nourishment issues but they'll keep checking baby. And as long as babe is healthy tummy size is not something to stress on. Be thankful the first kid is the easiest usually to bounce back from as far as getting your figure back :)
