I am wanting to become a surrogate mother but all the agencies i have looked at say my BMI is too high that someone my height should not weigh more then 159. Right now i am 221 and i know that is high but the lowest i would go is 180 or 190 because of my body structure I am big boned so 160 would look weird. If i got down to 180 do you think they would let me be a surrogate mother.

They just want the healthy ones. I'm slightly overweight by like 10 pounds and u was still excepted. What agencies have you tried? Fertility bridges and a women's gift accepted me

You gotta see it like this, people are paying for you to bake THEIR baby. 99% of these people want the surrogate mother to be EXTREMELY healthy, so their baby is healthy. Why would they pay and trust an overweight woman to do that? As shitty as that sounds and I really hope I didn't offend you, but that's their mentality. Especially because of the amount of money it costs to do this.

THis is true. Even if you are accepted , you have to be matched first and then go through more testing and if you aren't tiptop you are not going to be a surrogate.

I understand all that but my body structure is meant for 160lbs i would look sickly. I have very large shoulders and hips. And just because i am over weight does not mean the baby would be unhealthy. I have lost weight since having my son, when i got pregnant with him I was 260lbs he is perfectly healthy no medical issues at all.

If you can get your primary doctor to write that it's just completely unhealthy for you to be smaller than 180lbs and you are very healthy at that weight, you may have a shot. That's amazing for YOUR child, but the fact of the matter that the biggest misconception is bigger women have unhealthy eating habits. . Being overweight, you are no pick of the litter. If it's between you at your goal weight of 180lbs or a girl that is let's say 130lbs, they are gonna pick the smaller girl. It's unjust and horrible to assume a bigger girl is less healthy than a smaller girl but that's the way it is. They are allowed to be picky because of the amounts of their money that go into this process.
I am really not trying to be mean at all.
