miserable back pain... *~AngelEyes~* 2 kids; 1 angel baby; Memphis, Tennessee 10380 posts

Okay... I know I'm always complaining with my back hurting or something hurting in general... but I am so miserable... I have tried sleeping with a pillow between my knees, it does nothing... I've been taking Excedrin once a day and Tylenol, and it isn't helping... it just seems like the more I go throughout the day, the more pressure and pain I feel in my lower back... and in my lower abdomen too... it feels like the baby is sitting on a nerve or something... I'm so small you can actually FEEL where he sits most times. This makes it hard for me to sleep... and sometimes wakes me up at night when I am sleeping. :-/ I'm loving being pregnant, but this pain... something has got to give. :-( I'm only 31 weeks pregnant but feel like he's trying to come already. Like my body is trying to go into labor already. But I know I'm not. Gah what else is there I can do to ease my back? :-(

Not a heat rub, but I do try and get dh to rub my back for me. (Not usually lucky enough to get one though...)

I noticed when I was pregnant with both my son and daughter it hurt worse when my back was rubbed and it irritated me. Try a heat rub, That seemed to help me quite a bit.

I'm gonna sound slow but what exactly is a heat rub?? I'll definitely try it out. Anything for some relief.

Heating pad doesn't do much, but does ease it for a minute.

I'm with you there. My back has been hurting REALLY bad the last couples especially. I am concerned about going into PTL again because I've been having really close together braxton hicks along with back pain and such. But I'm only 18 weeks. I can only IMAGINE how bad it's going to get. Lol. As for relief, I have no suggestions really except I use this stuff called biofreeze. I got it from my mom's chiropractor who works on pregnant women. I've used it on and off in my pregnancies and it does seem to help for a momentary relief. But of course when it wears off, the pain is usually back. Also is Excedrin safe for pregnancy? My best friend told me it wasn't safe cause she has terrible migraines and can't use it when she's pregnant. I'm just asking so if it is safe, I can let her know. She's ttc right now but I know she fears that she won't be able to take something for her migraines when she's pregnant.

I've heard of biofreeze... and as for Excedrine, I'm only taking it by doctors orders because of the contraction-like pains I've been having since we moved into the new apartment. I don't like takimg it, though. I only take it like once every other day. She told me to take it once a day then if I'm still hurting after it wears off to take Tylenol. I'd rather have Tylenol though...

I don't like taking it though bc its aspirin based. I'd rather acetometophin

Yeah understandable. My sister had to take ibprofrin during her first pregnancy because she had bad migraines and pain and she hated taking it too because of the risks.

Yeah. I can't take ibuprofen because it causes problems with my belly.

I've heard of A535 but never seen it here. I'm def gonna see if I can't find some kind of stuff to help bc I've got to get the house cleaned but can barely stand to do it hah. Dh does the heavy lifting, but I do everything else.
